The ‘Amina’ brand sponsored a cultural and sporting festival
Agro-Yug-Service sponsored the 2021 Vitov Games, which took place on Saturday 12 July at the Zarya Sports Complex stadium in Mykolaiv. Last year, the event did not take place due to lockdown restrictions.
This time, the easing of restrictions in the ‘green zone’ and the lovely weather at the weekend helped to boost interest in the games. The cultural and sporting festival took place with the participation of the non-governmental organisations ‘Sports Competition’ and ‘Wings’. Support was provided by the Department for Youth and Sport of the Mykolaiv City Council, the Cossack community of the Vitovsky District, the public organisation ‘Movement of Conscientious Citizens’, the ‘Youth of Ukraine’ public organisation, and sponsors — the ‘Amina’ trademark and the ‘Adams’ drinking water gallery.
Representatives of Agro-Yug-Service Ltd presented a new product at the festival — ‘Amina’, a vitamin-enriched premium-grade flour, and also handed out sweet prizes to the competition participants – various types of home-baked biscuits, which were a hit with both children and adults alike.
As part of the competition programme, teams from schools in Mykolaiv competed in several disciplines: a relay race, pull-ups, push-ups, squats, a tug-of-war and a quiz testing their knowledge of Ukrainian history. The varied venues attracted a great deal of interest — youth rugby, a military-historical re-enactment of the Middle Ages, and a re-enactment of the era of the Zaporizhian Cossacks. The jousting matches proved to be the festival’s main highlight.
The aim of the event was to foster a sense of military and patriotic values, to encourage the younger generation’s interest in the history of their homeland, and to promote active leisure and a healthy lifestyle.
